Savoring summer!

The end of school...whew.  It's been a whirlwind of a couple of weeks.  Dance recitals, musical theater performances, shin-digs and memorial garden trees, birthday parties and end of year gigs.  And through it all, I'm realizing my girl is growing up.  I am seeing  the young girl instead of the little child.  This one uses big grown up words like "evidently".  She styles her hair (I can't say I like it some days, but it's her style) and styles her clothes (much better).  She holds my hand infrequently and likes to listen to kid's bop music.  So when she reaches out for my hand or crawls into my lap or tells me she loves me, I have to stop and grab the moment for they are all too fleeting.  So that's my plan for summer--to savor those moments for as long as I can.

Here's a share of kid things--some of my favorites...
