Parks and Rec

We usually spend a fair amount of time at various parks round our place, usually with friends.  Since we haven't had many park days with all the rain lately here in Southern California, here's a virtual visit.  My personal favorite?  When tons of kids and moms from school show up--the kids have a blast playing outside of school and the moms have a chance for (mostly!) uninterrupted chats.  Usually around 4ish, all we are missing is a glass of wine!!

Our first introduction to "downhill, backward Tonka truck driving".  (Sorry for the poor quality, all I had that day was my cell phone)  Now, if you know me, you would think that I would have been terrified to let Taylor do this, however, this event had me rolling on the ground laughing!!!  As they say, it's always fun 'till someone loses an eye, or in this case, until Taylor runs into the tree!  No worries, she was fine, but as you might guess, it ended THAT day at the park!

Several weeks ago, Taylor tried a soccer class, and although she showed promise, decided it wasn't her thing.  Lots of things to try at 5!  Lots of photo ops for mom!

The perennial favorite--Tag.  And always good for running off all that 5 year old energy!  (and isn't THAT the best thing about the park??)

Happy Tuesday!
Laura
